Dandelion Thomas has been passed from foster home to foster home since she was 5 years old. Now at 14 she's getting to old for the system. The only home willing to take her is Sydney, a 27 year old writer who lives in the middle of nowhere. Dandelion expects to stay for about a week before Sydney sends her back like all the other foster homes she's been kicked out of. Until she meets the only other kid in miles.
