Ruby is 20 years old she lives in Canada with her parents & has no siblings , she is independent and confident girl , She has very loving and supportive parents .

Ruby wants to become a singer , because she has amazing voice and is planning to move out of her parents house and go to USA (California) to fulfill her dream, she knows that she is very talented and can fulfill her dream of becoming a singer but the only thing standing in her way is MONEY . She can't afford the ticket, hostel rent and college fees as she belongs to a middle class family. She doesn't like sharing her thoughts or feelings with anyone because she believes that people can't keep secrets and will spill it someday, well she had experience that's why she preferred writing down everything about her life in her personal diary. She never even told her parents about her Expensive dream because she didn't want them to worry about her .

But to her surprise her parents already know everything & support her a lot and pay for all her expenses because they believe that someday Ruby will make them proud. She is overwhelmed and excited to start her journey .

While she moves in California in her uncles house she is devastated when she realizes that her diary is missing from her bag . She goes back to the airport to search for it but comes back disappointed . Later she realizes that she had mistakenly swapped bags with a guy in Canada airport.
