Basically it's an unrequited thing "they" genuinely likes the other and sees and thinks about only them but "the other" sees both the cuttlefish and the jellyfish because they're unsure of their feelings the jellyfish represent themselves, past lovers, responsibilities, past experiences etc. (For they it represents independence.) cuttlefish represents "they" but yet they try to reassure "they" that they're still on their mind but it may not be enough and yeah I have to continue with it ( The cuttlefish represent the love they have for each other )
I also think I may have feelings for someone and it's honestly terrifying.
