Mikara Scott, sometimes going as Kara or Micha (Mike-a) decided to join the war effort. It wasn't all that common, but not unheard of for woman to join the war efforts. So she set out to train with a group of 19 other individuals, knowing only a fifth of them would go on for further training after a month of serious training. It was to sift out who was serious and who couldn't handle what was going on. Kara and three other men went on to be trained by the Scottish Major Sebastian Mccoy. Because there aren't a lot of females in the war other than medical personnel, there wasn't a free bunk in the female quarters (there are maybe 10 females on the ship, and Kara makes 11) so the major took responsibility and offered Kara the extra bed in his room due to the fact that he didn't want to put her in a room of 9 other men. He was very polite about giving her privacy when she needed it, and looked out for her since she showed more determination than anyone else in the fleet.

I will be rewriting the story to make it more accurate to the way I've developed over time (I've thought of ways to make it more realistic and less awkward for me to write.) I have the original chapters here saved somewhere else so I can track my progresses, but soon I will be writing this in a more chapter form, but every so often I will probably be throwing in a little something silly (possibly involving an AU) or light hearted. Please bare with me, at the time I wrote the blurbs, I really just needed something light hearted and sweet, but I'm getting into the mind set of writing this seriously.
