Resistance ~ Rise of the Shadow Army (English Version)

The sixteen year old Nikki Treece is part of the Resistance, an organization against the Shadows of another planet. The Shadows are mighty creatures and their King formed the Shadow Army to take over the Galaxy. The Resistance came after the 1. Generation, who stopped the first attack of the Shadows, but died entirely. Nikki's Parents were members of the 1. Generation. In her orphan home she found a friend in Jenny Samples, who is now seventeen years old. They both joined the Resistance together and worked hard, until Jenny became Captain (highest rank) and Nikki became Commander (pretty high rank). Whilst they were practicing their fighting skills, they had to seem normal to the outside world. But there were a lot of surprises on their way.

I also wanted to reboot the series anyway, but as I am pretty much 'rewriting' the books here too, I am changing some small details, that I didn't like in the german version.

Some things I wanted to change (the special powers: they were just too much) and some things I had to change (Moritz is pretty hard to pronounce in English, so his English name is Morris now.).
