If I Can't Be With You. [Ross Lynch/ R5 Fanfiction.]

Kassie Redferd stared out the window at the rain as it soaked the grass and street. She watched the lightning and heard the thunder. She saw a boy, wearing nothing but jeans and a white t-shirt. He was soaked and his shirt was see through now that it was wet. He shivered slightly as he slowly walked. She thought that he was the most attractive person she had ever seen. She ran to the front door, opened it and ran out to the driveway.

"Uh..um aren't you cold?" Kassie yelled over the sound of the rain hitting the ground.

He turned around. "wh-what?"

Kassie was an expert at getting people to say 'ok' even though she was shy.

"I was staring out my window and I saw you walking in the rain. I mean like, do you like being out here? It's freezing!"

The boy shrugged his shoulders.

"Can you tell me why?" I'm kinda curious about everything." She laughed. He smiled and nodded. She motioned for him to follow her.

She opened the gate to her backyard and let him in. She shut it and went to the big tree in her backyard. There were several small brown climbing spikes sticking out of the tree. She climbed up each one with the boy climbing up behind her. They entered through a small gap in the tree and they were now in a nice, decorated, and warm tree-house.

She held out her hand to the boy. "I'm Kassie."

He shook it. "I'm Ross." He smiled shyly.

Kassie and Ross are best friends. They meet at age 13 and become closer every minute they are with each other. But when Ross' brother gets between their friendship Ross changes. He stops talking, he doesn't eat hardly, but the only thing he needs to make him better is Kassie.
