Darkness is something everyone tries to avoid because once it becomes apart of you theres no getting rid of it, there's no way of escaping it, theres no second chance at freedom your just stuck there in a world where light doesn't exist.

Spencer Reid grew up in the dark, he grew up in the shadows, he grew up with no idea of who he really was which made him the most deadly assassin.

Since the moment he was taken from his family he was trained to kill, he was trained to not feel, he was trained to mess with peoples head, he was trained to be a killer, a murderer an assassin.

He didn't think he had anything to live for, he was just a weapon he could be replaced which was why he was so valuable because he didn't care if he died.

But what if he met someone who did?

❝𝐋𝐞𝐭'𝐬 𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐜𝐡 𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐯𝐞𝐬 𝐚 𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐤𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐫.❞ He hadn't always wanted to catch serial killers. Once, he had imagined that he would have wanted to have a stable, normal job like other people did. He imagined he would've envisioned himself as a doctor or a firefighter, but if he had wanted that, then he couldn't remember it. Instead, he sought out evil, seeking out killers and the worst parts of humanity. The first time someone else's blood stained his hands, he knew he would never forget the look in the person's eyes as they died. It haunted him and he knew. He hadn't always let himself be happy. Evan Austin had grown used to putting the wellbeing of others above himself, in helping them and making sure that they were safe rather than focusing on his own life. Having been told numerous times by someone that had meant to love him for who he was that he was broken beyond repair, that he was unfixable, Evan had come to terms with the fact that no one would ever truly know and love him for who he really was. He had accepted that he was not put on this world for the same reason others were. But then he meets the genius Spencer Reid and slowly, allows himself to accept that maybe there was a little slice of happiness for him out there too. [𝐂𝐑𝐈𝐌𝐈𝐍𝐀𝐋 𝐌𝐈𝐍𝐃𝐒] [𝐒𝐄𝐀𝐒𝐎𝐍 𝐎𝐍𝐄-]

I wasn't like everyone else. When I was growing up, I didn't have any friends. My best friends were books. I read more than half the school library within the four years I attended high school, which I graduated from when I was 14. At the age of 22, I have an IQ of 182 and I can read 11,000 words a minute, I was "too smart" to be popular. My parents were murdered when I was a little girl, I was scarred for life, literally-the killer drug me out of the closet and carved his intials into my shoulder. The BAU solved my case. I knew I had a place there. That's where I met Spencer Reid.
