When visiting Canada for a wedding, a commitment-averse dive instructor must pretend to date her Australian seatmate to avoid conflict with her ex and judgmental mother. *** Audrey Clarke rarely felt like other women her age. Not as a teen who'd never gushed about gorgeous celebrities, nor at almost thirty, with no desire to marry, have kids, or settle down. She would much rather explore reefs in Southeast Asia and adventure around exciting places. Even when she meets travellers with similar dreams, none are the right romantic match. Until Caleb. When flying home to Canada for her friend's wedding, Audrey dreads confronting the pain she caused her ex and facing her judgemental mother. It drives her to connect with her seatmate, Australian environmental scientist, Caleb, who also craves a distraction. Despite his charm, he is enigmatic about the cause of his stress. They agree to fake a relationship to make their lives easier. The more time they spend together, the more real their act feels. Will Audrey be brave enough to share her true feelings before the trip is over? *** Featured on - Humor's 'Ambassador's Monthly Pick' reading list (Nov 2025) - Ambassador's recommendations "Aces! The edited version of this book is being updated under the name "That's Inappropriate, Mr. King." Twenty-two-year-old Anna wonders if she will ever find her mate. After her brother suggests that she should go to her original pack and try her luck, she decides to move there and gets her first job as a high school teacher. She had dreamed about her mate for very long time, but when she finds him, he is nothing like she expected... ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~* "Mr. King, what can I help you with?" "Mate..." He growled... A conflicted look in his eyes. "I knew this would happen, but I told you, we have to wait-" He scoffed, interrupting me. "I Caleb King, re-" Now, I interrupted him... with a kiss. I know I should not be doing this, but I have been looking for him for so long and I just needed to do this... At least once. A real kiss with my mate. I expected him to pull away but he put his hands on my lower back and pulled me closer to him. I could feel sparks and a happiness and tranquility invaded my body. It just felt right and I wanted more, but I knew how this would end. I felt the tears running down my cheeks. I stepped back, interrupting the kiss. He whimpered a little bit and for a second I saw adoration in his eyes, but he pushed it back, giving me a blank stare. "I am sorry. I needed to do this. You can reject me now." He looked a little taken aback. "You were going to reject me. I just thought we both needed to experience this only once. You are the future Alpha, so I should not be the one to break the bond. Please do it now!" I do not why, but I wanted him to do it. After all, he was going to do it before and I did not want a kiss to change his mind. "I Caleb King, reject you Anna Amores as my mate." I think I could hear my heart break in that second. "I Anna Amores, accept your rejection, Alpha, and I wish the best for you, always." I gave him an honest smile... And he left, without looking back... ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

"Why do you always avoid my questions?" "I'm not, it's just that there's nothing to say. Who would ever want to date someone they can't even talk to? It's not rocket science. My eyes are weird, and people get tired of me eventually. There's your one-page essay. Now please don't snow me to death .-." "What? All that you just said is a lie. And I should snow you to death for even saying that! I would definitely date you." "...Thanks." 🍒。・゚♡゚・。🍓。・゚♡゚・。 Dallas Addison had it all; being a talented swimmer and dating the star of the football team, she didn't think she lacked anything in any capacity. Sure, she and her boyfriend had minuscule issues, but which logical relationship didn't have their occasional ups and downs?
