Plot summary: everyone knows the standard Danny Phantom story, he gets into an accident and becomes a half ghost. This time around it's a bit more complicated.
Daniel James Fenton was an average 14 year old freshman, with the exception being his parents were famous ghost hunters. One day when his best friends Sam and Tucker dare him to walk into his parents non functioning portal his life takes a huge spin. See Danny, become the savior of Amity Park known by spectre. Watch him overcome his newly found bloodlust and anger while in his new form. This AU will follow canon mostly but with some tweaks and new additions.

The Field Trip and a Secret Identity
Danny Fenton is just another person like the rest of us. He goes to school, he sleeps, eats, and lives. Only half way though for that last one. While not dead, he isn't alive. Danny is a halfa. In the Dead of Night You Went Dark On Me
It has been three years since Amity Park first saw ghosts, and now it was uncommon to go a day without an explosion or fight of some kind. Heroes have shown up, the Red Huntress, the GIW, The Fenton's, and Phantom. Danny Fenton used to be an A+ student; he was going to go on to be an astronomer, an astronaut, and live out his dreams of visiting the stars. No one really knows what happened to the bright kid he used to be, but he was now failing practically every class, and if he wasn't sleeping in class, he was missing half of it. No one knows what happened to the bright young star, but they want to. Danny Phantom is the Ghost Prince. After defeating the prior Ghost King, every entity in the Ghost Realm was preparing for his coronation. The day his body turns eighteen years old, he will be the Ghost King. However, they cannot have a halfling as their king, so the only viable option is to kill his human half. Thankfully that has already been written into the coronation process. They just need to collect the ingredients for the potion. Danny Phantom would rather not be king, but he doesn't get a say in the matter. - The title is from the song Dark on Me from Starset. I just thought it was kind of cool. I started writing this a while ago, and I have a few parts already written, but I am going to hold off on posting them because I have a habit of procrastination, so maybe waiting to post for a few days or so will help me actually update it.
