What needs to be done for a better world
Scarred by a cataclysmic meteor strike, humanity struggles to rebuild amidst the wreckage. As civilization begins to take its first tentative steps forward, a bizarre twist of fate unfolds. Animals, exposed to a mysterious chemical agent released by the impact, undergo a radical transformation, gaining humanoid traits while retaining their primal instincts. Communication proves to be a barrier in the early years of their appearance. Humans, fearing for their species, ignited a war for dominance. Yet, as the conflict rages on, it becomes increasingly apparent that the scales are tipping in favor of the evolved animals. With the impossible size of the universe, it shouldn't come as much of a surprise that there is life beyond just humans out there. Countless things have lived and died yet one stands above the rest due to the sheer amount of time it has lived. Almost since the beginning of the universe itself has it existed; a biological monster that would destroy and consume anything in its path.
