Agnes de La Noue grew up in a cruel kingdom. She keeps hearing a story about how the kingdom was built, but she has a feeling that everything is wrong. When she finds out that her parents arranged a marriage for her to her best friend, she knows she can't marry him. Agnes runs away, making her a criminal in many ways and in the kingdom she lived in any crime is punishable by death. As she runs from her troubles, she finds herself in enemy territory. Is all the stories that she heard of about this kingdom true or has she been decieved along with the rest of the kingdom?

On the other hand, Sookie is looking for someone who will protect her and that is why the two end up getting married. Together they will discover the traps of destiny and will have to fight for their love and prove to all the people who do not believe in their love that they love each other madly. Thranduil has been having the same dream for three hundred years - dark blue eyes. A chance attack on one of the villages in his realm puts him in front of the face behind those eyes, and he panics. Instead, he treats the elleth in question with contempt and is rude and mean to her. She too has a secret.
