Agnes de La Noue grew up in a cruel kingdom. She keeps hearing a story about how the kingdom was built, but she has a feeling that everything is wrong. As Agnes finds out the truth about the Kingdoms, she also discovers the truth about herself. She finds out that the 'disease' she thought she had was actually a great gift of power. She learns how to use this power against her enemies.
