Davina and Danielle Salvatore, are vampire twins, who escaped from their hometown in Virginia, where had been living for over 120 years. To the general public, they were 15 years old.
When they moved to California, they gravitated towards a town called Beacon Hills, where they met a boy named Scott who said he knew their brother Stefan. His mother allowed Danielle and Davina to stay, aware of their supernatural secret.
Davina and Danielle think Beacon Hills is a normal town, and that Scott is the only supernatural creature, but when Davina falls in love with a werewolf things get confusing. And when Danielle falls in love with a human, things get dangerous.
Will they be able to control themselves, or will their blood lust cause them to go running back to the town that they so desperately needed to escape from.
