New Beginnings

"Do you really want me to stay away?" he asked as a flash of hurt passed through his eyes.

"Yes," I answered softly.

We stared into one another's eyes, I knew I was lying out of my ass but he'd never know that. I slowly turned around and began walking away. I could feel his eyes burning holes into the back of my head as I continued down the now empty corridor of my school.

Soon enough I was outside headed to my car when I felt a hand grab onto my arm, and before I could register what was happening a foreign pair of lips met mine.
