Elizabeth Marie DeLuca was born April 25th, 1920. She would always joke 'My birthday is Christmas in April!' excitedly when people would ask. Elizabeth is an only child, and had no family besides her parents in the states, as the rest stayed in Italy when her parents moved to America. She's also very smart. Once Elizabeth reached High School, she skipped two whole grades. This was due to her photographic memory. Because of this, she didn't have many friends. Truthfully, she only had two.
This story is about Elizabeth, and how she grows up and realizes her feelings for one of her friends as they go off to war, and what happens after he does leave.
