I was a young girl living in District 13. I lived as all others did, trying to live in any way I could. Then, in the blink of an eye, my entire district became ruins. The people in the Capitol thought we were killed. But they were wrong. I ran away. I lived in the woods for awhile. Until I was found. A Capitol hovercraft came and lifted me off my feet. Then, and only then, did I know that I had lost the small sliver of freedom that I had.
