Marie is a weak person; she wants to be strong, but in reality, she enjoys letting other people do the work. However, this is a huge drawback as she is the only heir her parents were able to produce. She struggles to make it through school and be as strong as she can for her parents, even going as far as taking sword fighting skills, but they still decide to marry her off to a man she doesn't even know. Marie goes drinking with her friends to cope and by happening, runs into Jules, a young woman who attends the same school. At first, Marie thinks only of Jules as a crass individual, but soon learns Jules isn't what she seems to be. They fight, yes, but when they aren't together each is lonely.
