Carrying the Shadows ~ Hopekook
58 parts Complete MatureIn the sterile room of the asylum, Dr. Lee looked down at Hoseok, her expression a mixture of concern and frustration. "Hoseok, I'm really worried about you. I fear you might not be able to terminate the pregnancy safely. Your mental state-"
"No!" Hoseok screamed, his voice raw with desperation. "I will not carry the child of my rapists! Over my dead body!" His heart raced, and tears streamed down his cheeks as the memories flooded back, haunting and vivid.
"They- they forced me open, they-" Hoseok's breath hitched, a wave of hysteria crashing over him. "They used me like I was nothing! I was screaming, and they just laughed! I can't- I can't be a mother to a child conceived in that hell!"
His voice trembled, every word a dagger to his heart. "They took everything from me! My innocence, my peace- how can I bring a life into this world knowing it's part of them? I'm broken! I'm ruined!"
Dr. Lee leaned closer, her voice steady but gentle. "Hoseok, please. You need to calm down. You're gravely ill, and you have a lot of mental burdens to carry. This isn't just about the baby- you need help to heal."
Hoseok shook his head violently, refusing to accept it. "Help? What do you know about help? You don't understand what it's like! I just went out with my friends, laughing, and then... then everything changed in an instant. I didn't ask for this! I was just a kid!"
The doctor's eyes softened, realizing the depth of Hoseok's trauma. "I know this is hard, but you have to let us help you. You're not alone in this. You have to trust me, trust the process."
Hoseok collapsed back against the pillow, exhaustion seeping into his bones. "Trust? How can I trust again? They took my trust and shattered it into a million pieces. All I want is to wake up from this nightmare."
