I never knew fear until I looked him in the eyes, his milky gaze made me nauseated, like empty pools of lost souls. I was made to swallow the bile just to save face, but he smiled at the hammering of my too-human heart, his crooked and protruding nose wrinkling as he smiled, "the little rabbit thinks she can trick me?" he asked no one, voice light and wispy like an audible brushing of wind through a spiderweb, "lets see how she likes it when she finds out what lies she's been told".

I watch as Malcom pulls up to the curb and she hops out making her way into the office.
