Midi Avant was fairly normal, actually. Well, if you consider normal being born in a fallout shelter in what remains of the state of Utah, anyway. And being exposed to radiation on accident following her father into the fallout vent area of the shelter when she wasn't supposed to. There were major genetic changes found, yet there wasn't a sign of difference within her for years. That is, until the day she turned 14. Something clicked within her, at the molecular level. She had the ability to blink, or teleport, as it was formally called.

When this was discovered, everyone within the shelter knew the danger this mutation held, and they all tried to keep anyone outside of it from knowing about this. But one night, the Ravens, one of the worst raider groups in the Four Corners, caught wind of this, and kidnapped her, taking the girl to New Mexico to try and harness her power for their purposes, while all that Midi wants is to go back home. But with the entire Four Corners knowing about her and her power, who can she trust in a world where all order has broken down from nuclear war?
