No matter how young or how old you are, if you're honest with yourself, life isn't long enough, it happens in a flash, one moment you're four years old, playing in the grass, looking at butterflies, the next moment you're in the fourth grade, on the jungle gym, wishing you could fly. Sometimes it seems exhaustingly slow, like waiting for the timer to go off while you're waiting for cupcakes or cookies, or while you're on a trip, and your dad is driving just so slow it makes you want to scream...and you want to fast forward, to get to the end, the prize, you want to skip along until you reach the destination, but really life isn't about the destination, it's about each step that takes you there, and maybe, just maybe the person you hope to find at the destination, has been at your side the entire time?

"You're such a fucking slut. Get changed." He demanded. I could tell he was daring me to disobey by his stern glare. "No dad." I attempted to walk past him to go back to the party before he picked me up and threw me over his shoulder, walking us to his car. I don't endulge in romance like this it's just fun to write. This is also a slow burn. If you're impatient and want character development fast this book isn't for you. I want to keep this story as realistic as possible and people changing their ways overnight isn't. I also just love books where not everything is sped through and you really get to know the characters and their habits.

Being 16 sucks. Being 16 and running away after you burn down a library with flames you shoot from your hands, trying to carve out a place in the world for yourself while understanding this strange curse double sucks. Getting interrupted from figuring out magic completely on your own by an evil witch with plans to take over the world by doing *extremely* gross things to dead bodies triple sucks. Remember when I said that a kiss or an award had a time limit on it? Well, if you find the right person to say "I love you" to, that doesn't go away. That doesn't vanish.
