Chase has always had to be the grown up in his household.
His mother was convinced that her night terrors were real and that there were monsters in his house that were after her. Each night, he would check her closet and underneath her bed to assure her they weren't.
Now, in his senior year, Chase needs to get high marks to guarantee a full ride scholarship out of his home town but things have begin to escalate. Freaky girl Diana Cain who hates him has begun to talk to him more and popular guy Sam Davis who has stolen Chase's glory for the past two years has been overly eager to befriend him. This wouldn't bother he sees a girl in a dark coat every where he goes and his mother is hospitalized after she is attacked by a 'demon' that was in her closet and the only person with the answers seem to be the two people he resents the most.
