Millicent Cerberus, a 19 year old girl who live's in a mental hospital after murdering her parents at 14 and believing in spirits and trying to reach out to them.
It says that she skinned her parents when they were asleep. Millicent says it wasn't her. She doesn't belive it was someone else, she belives it was someting else.
She sometimes sees her parents, she says. Her mom Isolde, and her dad Mortimer, weren't your ordinary kind of parents, they believed in spirits. And that made Millicent belive in them too.
What happens when Millicent meets Nathan. A 22 year old guy, who starts working at the mental hospital?
Will she fall in love with him, or will she hate him more than anything on this planet?
