O'Pun Sesame

I'm a serial punner and simply addicted to double entendre. Speed punning is my idea of an adrenaline rush.

So I decided to set myself a fun challenge - to combine poetry and punning and to do it within an hour.

Writing this was about the most fun I've ever had composing verse. I hope that when you read this poem, you'll understand why. I've packed it full to the brim with references to some of the world's favourite literary greats and well-loved classics. So, this is me doffing my hat (in the most creative way I can manage) to all these fabulous people who have brightened up our lives in so many different ways.

I don't want to ruin the fun but please leave me comments if you think you've decoded all the literary references I've slipped in here. We can make a game out of it! :)
