Upon the creation of the universe billion years ago, or in this case your verse, the fate of everything was decided when matter outnumbered the antimatter particles during their annihilation. We were wrong. The reason why anti matter was outnumbered was because it decreased. No, it didn't. Two particles condensed and formed something. Something truly mysterious yet magnificent. A particle whose creation may lead to the death of the Cosmos. We call it the Death Particle. Any life form carrying the particle of Death is a threat not only to the world you know, it may destroy the very existence of your universe.

The CERN Revelation
The CERN* Laboratory, near Geneva, runs the Large Hadron Collider**: the greatest scientific instrument ever built by man. There are many questions and concerns as to what will be discovered. And now inexplicable things are occurring at CERN. Three researchers are missing: disappeared without a trace. Men of sound mind have seen apparitions. The Collider has brought forth an entity from another dimension that offers answers to the great remaining scientific questions...in exchange for a soul. Word has spread that something diabolical has invaded CERN, which coincides with cataclysmic events taking place in the world. Protagonist Paul Decker teams up with Natasha - a particle physicist, a la Lizbeth Salander*** - to fight the legions of darkness. This may be the ultimate battle of Good vs. Evil, Science vs. God. So yeah, you've all heard the story told by many. About how embracing nuclear power instead of fearing it would lead to having technology advanced quicker, you'd be partially correct about that... The year 2234 was the first and last time humanity was wrong about this statement. After the threat of WW5 many countries were locked into the doctrine of MAD (mutually assured destruction) if war with this power was to happen. But, worry not as many smart people did many smart things like make the Pip-Boy a kind of personal computer strapped to your wrist, there was also the assist bots (creative, I know) who helped the common folk with menial tasks, and stasis chambers or more commonly known as cryogenic pods (cryo pods for short). Well, after some undisclosed country(ies) launched their nukes at both the north and south poles, the world as we knew it was being flooded. People from all over the world had scrambled to try to get to their local vaults that were built by Vault-Tech to try and weather this worldwide catastrophe. Unfortunately, like many stories began the entirely of the human race was not fortunate. Nearly the entirety of the human populace was wiped out. There were was at least a few known places like Alterna and Vault 111. Well, like all the other places, they didn't last long. Alterna went into the dust after a failed attempt at flying a rocket into space to try and find a more suitable planet for humans. And almost every Vault had some sort of problem from a lack of power to improper oxygen filtration to radiation leaks. Well there was one Vault that's in an undisclosed location in a place called Vault 069 and it held the best and brightest people. This is the story of one of its only surviving residence lived with the new life that was created after ~12,000 years of not being seen. This is the story of a man nicknamed The Savior also known as (Y/N) the last remaining human on earth or at least what's left of it.
Undertale: War of The Souls
Many years have passed since the war between the humans and monsters. The humans won, and shut the monsters in a place called the underground. Keeping them there with a magical barrier, it took seven usable souls to shatter the barrier, but being monsters, their souls didn't work. Instead, they had to use human souls to break the barrier, and even then, humans were not likely to fall in. Because the human waste system ends up in the underground, the monsters are informed of what's going on up on the surface, and have developed human-like lifestyles, which included scholarship, friendships and the like, but it seemed, that the monsters were eager to get back on the surface again. Six humans were unlucky enough to fall into the underground, and the leader of the monsters, Asgore Dreemurr killed these humans to use their souls for removing the barrier. Asgore thought that those humans were the only ones that would fall in, but he was wrong. Two more humans fell in, but their souls were lost before Asgore could even use them, and those soulless ghosts were doomed to haunt the underground. Everything started in 2036. The pollution was so bad that the end of the world was predicted to be right around the corner. As complete panic set in around the world, the rich and important people were all gathered and placed on giant spaceships with enough resources and room to house generations of human beings. Before they left though, the government leaders fired As a result, most of the human population died off and earth was a complete wasteland. The little that survived started building local communities and trying to survive in the destroyed excuse of a planet. On the disaster of a planet, creatures mutated and were born out of the nuclear chemicals; creating new species and monsters that hunted humans. While hundreds and hundreds of years passed, the monsters kept evolving and the people kept adapting while still trying to keep a sort of community. They didn't want to lose all of their humanity and become nothing more than animals that hunted the monsters: then they would truly be no better than the monsters themselves. Oxygen, carbon, hydrogen, nitrogen, calcium and phosphorus make up 99% of the mass of the human body. These elements combine to form molecules ranging from water to the twin helices of deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) that specify the genetic code. Life on Earth probably began with complex, virus-like molecules that over billions of years evolved cells and the ability to split carbon dioxide and water (H2O). The poisonous waste product, oxygen, released into the atmosphere, probably caused the first mass extinctions on Earth. WHO THE HELL ARE WE? is a series of short books and videos describing the evolution of civilization. Almost everyone on the planet is five times wealthier than their ancestors only 50 years ago. This astonishing phenomenon has also improved the health, education, and longevity of almost everyone. The cause; an explosive growth in ideas and productivity. BOOK 2 After chaos destroyed, America fell into pandemonium and there was no communication with the U.S. After a pandemic crisis on the East coast, most civilization was abandoned near the Atlantic Ocean. After that, the world slowly began to fall to pieces and almost every country made a scramble to figure a way to make space travel easier so they could colonize a planet. But a new leader came out of the ashes and proclaimed they would consider the apocalypse a "rebirth" and proceeded (with his advanced engineering) to clear radioactivity from America and make it livable again. With the help of his crew, he builds a high security city and begins to build out past the east coast. Shortly after he rebuilds NY, he disappears and his advisor rises to power. He is a fair but cruel master (calling himself a Lord) and some people refuse to work for him. These people manage to escape the oppression of the Lord and live out on the wasteland that was once a great country.
