Avery is a typical mean girl at her high school. She is a bit of a spoiled brat,  and is one of the most popular girls in school. She is also one of the meanest girls you could ever meet. 
One day something tragic happens to Avery and she's near death. When she awake's from a deep sleep a few months later and goes back to school,  she soon notices that things aren't quite the same. Her best friends are really mean to her and her family is acting weird. She soon realizes that her life will never be the same. She also is realizing that she was wrong for all of her mistakes and wants too fix them. She knows that it will take a while until her life can be put back together but she waits slowly as she goes down the road. Starting with her friends,and the schools  meanest boy, Jake.
