A girl named Miakoda with a tortured past is forced to move around with her mother, sister and best friend Laya who is also her protector. Mia is a Dragon Girl that's father dies before her eyes so her family is forced into hiding from the dragon hunters. Her mother moves back to Australia to be with her sister and brother. Mia's mother isn't a Dragon, but a Dragon protector just like Mia's little sister. Mia's dad was killed for being a dragon. Mia was taught by her grandfather to be a very strong dragon and she has trust issues and is not a people person, unlike her cousin Calum Hood. Mia and her family is forces to change their surname "Piasa" to their mother's maiden name "Hood" so they won't be found. Mia's father was also Native American and they had a tribe which half of was slaughtered by hunter's. Mia's memories torment her... She then finds her dragon soul mate...
