A short story based on Pink Floyd's song, Careful With That Axe Eugene, specifically the Earl's Court 1973 version.
Eugene has never really found interest in the company of others. In the past, he had Him to keep him company. He was unwelcome company, but company nonetheless. Until he went away, that is. Now that He's gone, Eugene is free to do what he wants.
Eugene just has to hope that He won't return.
