200 Years ago, the powerful Priestess, Asayo was giving birth. But, a man hated the father, and wanted to kill the child, since he was so in love with Asayo. He barged into the room, and slaughtered her, with no one around to help her, since war was raging outside. The powerful demon of the father raced from the skies, and into his lover's room, where he found her.. dead. He battled with this human, until the human fled, no match for such a great demon.
The demon man looked down at his wife, and lover. He drawled his sword, he called the, "Tenseiga". The Tenseiga is the sword of Heaven, which was to heal, but only once per living creature. once he pulled it, he saw the imp-demons preparing to take her to the netherworld. and sliced them all, awakening the wounded human.

She come up with a decision after she made a meditation for several days, calling her to help that man. They both went around the mountains, while along the road he finds her doing a meditation every day. One day, he accidentally touched her hand, but she gets mad, and said never to touch her again. He finds it weird with a petty reason she gets crazily mad. When he touched her, he feels some kinda unexplainable feeling, but he rejected it.
