Dave Strider has always had a crush on Jade Harley. And when she feels the same way about Dave, things start getting better for the two of them! Going on fun dates and all, until one day, a week after their first date on their one month anniversary, Jade sees a familiar face. Nathan Ackerman (last name by Anne). Her first boyfriend, her ex. They were really good friends. They had a strong relationship, until Nathan cheated on Jade in eighth grade with her best friend Jane. After that, Jade moved with her brother, John, and their father in Washington, getting a job, a house, finishing middle school, and going to highschool, where she met Dave. Finding out where she was, Nathan decided to get Jade back, after having a dramatic breakup with Jane. When Nathan sees that Jade is with Dave, he starts getting jealous and makes a plan to get rid of Dave, but his plan backfires and causes drama between Dave, Jade, Nathan and everyone else, when Jade is found lying on the floor of her house unconscious. Heartbroken, Dave is determined to find out who did this, and why.
