Reiyne Rivera rides on a horse deep into the forest in order to hide from her ex-husband who wants to take their son away and leave her all alone. To escape an assassin her ex-husband hired, she discovers an old ruined village deep within the forest where strange magic surrounded the place. Reiyne follows a beautiful light that calls her name and with her toddler she hides inside the deepest, darkest part of Katariya's ruin until he passes. Little did she know she was trespassing in the fire beast's territory who was not pleased with her presence. If it wasn't for the cries of her child the beast may have killed her, but instead it warned her to leave without her son. When she tries to leave with him, her horse is missing and more of the strange lights refuse to let her go outside the ruin. Reiyne must uncover the dark mystery behind the place and the creature that guards it if she ever wants to leave the place safely with her son...

There's a red thread between life and death. In the town of Willow, there's nothing much to hear in store as the sun does not rise and the clouds are not perfect blue skies. The time passed and the light could not get in; it is difficult for life to foster, so death lingered a little longer. But like in most situations, life and death repel, leaving a tragic glow. In this melancholic tableau, a tragic feat reigns until the fateful moment someone dares to open their door and invite change. For Alora Beaufort, solitude is a familiar companion in Willow. Accustomed to the hushed whispers of the ghostly town, she finds herself navigating an even lonelier existence when an unprecedented calamity befalls the land. While she had grown accustomed to the art of surviving in isolation, she finds herself alongside a group of valiant defenders who fight for the lives of others. She embarks on a journey into the shadows, hoping to gain a clearer perspective on the world she's living in Yet the world is not as tranquil as it seems, and the darkness is already half through conquering the light.
