My entry to SciFriday (July 24th). 
The human visitors edged closer to the inhabited, rocky new world....

Lena Rider an headstrong 18 year old colonist of Genymede is out with her family when the snows over a cravass collapse, leaving her falling down an 100 mile crack in the ice. Lena knows no one, who has fallen far down a deep icy cravasse has ever returned. Even if she does survive hiting the sea below the ice her suit will only last for a week.

At the same time scientist Augustus Blank is under pressure to create some science to amaze the people of his city or risk loosing his respectable job at the university.  Desperate Augustus turns to the most wild and outlandish rumours of fallen angels.  If he could find one, even capture one and dissect it his scientific career would be assured.

Soon the two of them are caught in an unexpected drama neither could suspect.
