I remember watching these movies when I was a little kid. They were just like this, big, bustling cities with tons of people. Unfortunately, the scents that came off the film were strange, not only did they smell like burnt plastic but they smelt like the scene itself. Cigars, pretzels, subways, and sewers. All things which she finds unpleasant. But there were scenes which smelt of lavender and old carpet, which is comforting because her aunt gave off a similar smell whenever she got back from work. As I stepped out of the car it was like all the scents she had ever smelled all at once. Blood, gunpowder, cement, hotdogs, wood, unrecognizable chemicals, and worst of all, she could smell death. Rory, an Adaptie fifteen year old, is finally getting to go visit the city, but all excitement and hope is soon erased and painted with fear and confusion. The government is hiding a war, hiding experiments, hiding the truth. As the story goes on the question 'what can a teenager do in this world?' Is put in perspective and put to the test, but soon that 'can' becomes a 'can't'.All Rights Reserved
