Jesaray Syar has had a horrible life, from her parents dying while she was young, and then being taken in by her drunk, abusive adoptive parents who brought their friends to beat her as well. Her first boyfriend, Michael was no different.
After realizing many things, Jesaray finally stood up and left the country, heading to Canada at 15 years old. How she managed to, no one knows.
Jesaray's life in Cambridge, Ontario has changed drastically ever since she left; she works six jobs, three a day and lives in a cheap apartment with only her will and determination to survive with her.
That is, until a strange man named Slate Hunters barges into her life.
