My world was turned upside down the day my mom died from an illness, forcing me to leave everything behind and move in with my aunt miles away. I've always been a grumpy, antisocial kid, but losing her made me even angrier at the world. When I ran into another student at my new school, I couldn't help but snap at him. I had no idea he was the intimidating, stoic Killian Reed. Moments after I snapped at him, he shoved me into the lockers, and I genuinely believed he was going to make my life hell. But then, unexpectedly, he's there to stop a couple of guys from assaulting me. At first, I think it's just a coincidence. Yet, as more trouble seems to follow me and he somehow always appears to save me, I begin to sense there's more to Killian-a secret tied to me.
