One decision made differently - as the Three Hunters chase after the orcs who have captured Merry and Pippin, they run through that second night rather than rest -- and everything changes. Well, not everything. They're merely captured by the orcs like Merry and Pippin. Not in the plan.
One decision changed doesn't change one's destiny, however. How each of them is to reach the fate destiny has in store for them is a bit peskier, though...
In this AU story, Aragorn, Legolas, and Gimli are captured by the orcs trekking across Rohan and struggle to return to their task. There's action and adventure, suspense, not too much angst, and hopefully an enjoyable story for all. Feedback is welcome!

The Return
Forty years have gone by since the beginning of the Fourth Age. The time of peace is falling away as Orcs are attacking villages in Eryn Lasgalen and Gondor, killing aimlessly. Legolas receives a strange letter from Aragorn asking him to meet in Imladris. But something happens on the road and Legolas and his captain, Thaladir, discover something disturbing about the new enemy. Something that could take them, Aragorn, and others as far as the Mines of Moria. Please Note: This is an older work of mine and while I still love it dearly, the writing isn't the best, and it is slightly AU because I didn't know Tolkien lore when I started it. Answering the Call
This is a series of AU vignettes in which each member of the Fellowship hears the call of the Ring -- and answers it. My take on the big What-If. Varying degrees of angst, drama, action, and perhaps a little more angst. This series won First Place in the MEFA Awards quite a few years ago now. This idea brewed in my brain for a long time before I finally got it out of my head and onto 'paper.' The Odyssey of the daughter of the forest
In the dark forest of Mirkwood, shadows are growing, again and again. The leaves are becoming black, as the roots, and as the trees. Birds are not singing anymore. Flowers have disappeared. Even the sun has trouble to light the ground of the forest, once so alive and full of colours. A young elf with red hair is fighting every day for her people, who is retreating before its enemy, who is sending his troups from his black tower, in the south of Middle Earth. Orcs are coming, more and more numerous on their lands. The company of Thorin Oakenshield from the Blue Mountains will not succes to put an end to this invasion. Their fight will just postpone the deadline, by sacrifying many lives, and destroying many others. And by seperating for a while the path of two lovers, who are destined to meet again. Sixty years later, the elf joins the fellowship to save Middle Earth, once and for all, from the threat that are gliding above its people, for a long time.
