Masqueraders. Creatures from another planet that inhabited the earth many years after mankind's appearance. With the abilities to do almost anything, these human looking aliens could take the world at any given time. However, from orders of their superior that died many years back, they were left with one command: do not destroy the human race.

With that said, four guardians were meant to protect the world, harnessing the most powerful abilities the Masqueraders had ever seen. Unfortunately, when one of the four guardians goes bad, it's up to the other three to find suitors and transfer their power before control slips out of their grasp.

With the appearance of a mystery Masquerader, things quickly take a turn for the worse and the four oblivious humans are left to battle it out with growing forces.

The trials of coming events will force three of the suitors to dig deeper into the world of Masqueraders, and will push them closer to discovering the only person that can help them.

Finding her is the only thing that matters.

Elodie's life changes at the turn of a doorknob when she is forced into joining a secret organization that claims to be protecting the Earth from aliens. But with every step she takes, she finds the organization, or the facility, as they call it, becoming more and more suspicious. When a mysterious death occurs, revealing a well-concealed secret, things quickly go downhill as humanity's future is placed on the shoulders of a single gaggle of teenagers. *** I hear a sigh from the other side of the door, "Miss. Chaucer, you have a wonderful opportunity here, are you going to take it or not?" Now, I am seriously confused, "Opportunity?" She takes advantage of my befuddled state and shoves the door open. Shit. The corners of her mouth pull up, and it's so unnatural, it takes me a moment to realize she's smiling. Major plastic surgery? Probably. Click. Did she just lock the door? She locked the door! I spring towards the house phone, dusty from years of doing absolutely nothing, so I can call the police. I don't make it. Halfway there, I trip on my own pant-leg and face plant on the floor. The woman steps over me and retrieves the phone. She looks at it as if it's a foreign object, "This won't be necessary. All I want to do is talk to you." For some reason, instead of screaming, I stay silent. She smiles and pulls out a chair from the kitchen table for me to sit on. When I don't sit, she says, "If you want to know what's going on, then sit." I think about it for a moment. She hasn't hurt me yet, and I have to admit, I am quite curious as to what's going on. So, call me stupid, but I sit down. "I am from a space organization that protects civilians from . . . outside threats." *** Beautiful cover made by @mahana258! 74 parts Complete Mature
Betrayed, lost, broken. This is Azalea's reality now. Once a slave, now a warrior. A future queen tasked with the enormous weight of the survival of her race resting on her shoulders. The wolves are dying. When the vampires took over, the ancient race of shifters dwindled rapidly. The fought hard, but they were no match for the strength and numbers of the vampires. Then, they ran. Settling deep within the mountains, in the tunnels where a steady network of caves ran underneath a dormant volcano. Little did they know, the loss of the forest took a toll on them. Disease swept rapidly through their numbers, but their ability to shift dwindled until they could hardly even feel their wolves. Until finally the entirety of the power itself was snuffed out, rendering the remaining wolf-borne human. Well, all but one. The princess. Having reverted back to her true name while running for her life with a few hundred slaves at her back wasn't exactly easy for even the most seasoned of wolves. Especially since the one person she was running from could track her anywhere in the world. But there are things about the wolf princess that Elizabeth doesn't know, a wild untamable power seeking to be released just below the surface. Over the last two hundred years, her father has been reclaiming his kingdom, piece by piece. He has gathered allies from all over the world to fight the deadly vampire queen, Ravenna and her family. Tasked with the heavy burden of keeping her pack safe, along with tending to her broken soul, will she ever be the queen her people need her to be? One crazed queen, chasing down her mate. Another crazed queen, chasing down a weapon. Who will get there first?
The Betrayer and the Betrayed by JoeNChaste

In the not-so-distant future evolved humans emerged. Those who had powers that broke conventional laws of physics, chemistry, and biology were dubbed E.H.s (evolved humans); it was wondrous for a time. Of course if there was power to be used there would be those who misuse. To that end the evolved humans police department was formed to deal with all crime committed by or connected to E.H.s, a force entirely comprised of E.H.s trained to stop and capture any E.H. breaking the law. Adlet Blacksteel is the newest edition to the E.H.P.D., his skills and experience as a hostage extractor makes him an invaluable edition. Joined by his new partner, Jenna Jones, he pursues a secretive manhunt for the Soldiers Of The New World, an underground E.H. crime organization that has a hand in all that is illegal, and their mysterious leader: String, who, seemingly, has eyes and ears everywhere. While Adlet and Jenna intend on doing this by the books, their unsavory past with two of String's captains may muddy their judgement, or, more accurately, it already has. As String's ambitions grow beyond just controlling the city's underbelly Adlet and Jenna are forced to take action with an ally he did not desire. While prejudice against E.H.s reaches it's peak because of a horrific tragedy, the Soldiers of the New World waste no time to expand their reach and rally for their cause of taking over the city. Adlet goes to the edge of sacrificing everything and back again. On the way, betrayal awaits at every corner. As long as people believed that there was a division between the Gifted and the non-Gifted, that one was superior to the other, I wasn't done. As long as there were kings on thrones to reinforce the idea that people like Porter and Briar and everyone else I cared about were unworthy of this world, I wasn't done. "And then," I continued, a resolution forming in my mind. "I'm going to destroy those six thrones." ********************************************** Wren Heatherfield has been through hell and back, surviving the deadly trials of the Garner and claiming the title of Garner Champion. However, her fight is far from over, with the real challenges only just beginning.
