Time. A moment in time can be seconds, but seconds feel like minutes and minutes like hours. We perceive time through the measure of our activity, of how busy we are. Even so, an hour will always have sixty minutes and each minute will always have sixty seconds, regardless of our perception. 
So here I am. Even though I logically knew that time passed in the same manner as always, my mind perceived it differently. Time stopped for me. Every action felt exaggerated, even my breathing seemed forced. 
Blinking a few times to clear my vision, I finally admitted to the one truth I’d been blind to for most of my life.

We have been taught we are the only ones that can hurt ourselves. We are the only ones that could end this Earth. We have been taught wrong. There are forces surrounding us, controlling us, watching us and making sure we fail as a race. There are also forces helping us be better, guiding us towards a more enlightened present and future and both forces have been around us forever. But what if these forces are and have been in a war for thousands and thousands of years. On one side, they want to slave us on the other they need us to be prosperous and reach happiness with ourselves and our lives. What if Angels were just like us? We have a mission in this lifetime, they have the same mission through all their existence. We change our mission with every lifetime, they don't. This would make some Angels feel anger for humankind and there are those who see it as the Father's command and wish and comply just as they were told to do. It is written they had a weakness for human females and it is also written they procreated with them. This story is about the first Angel born from a human female and an Angel who has lived among us since the beginning of time but we have come to the end of times and with it, Angels, the ones on our side, the ones against us, the ones who don't care, and us humans, are facing the end of existence right now.

The noise swelled, folding in on itself, growing larger than the sum of its parts. At first, I had carved them close together, expecting to leave before the space ran out. But as the marks stretched, as the numbers climbed, the gaps between each tally mark grew wider, as if denial could be traced in spacing. I ran my fingers over the final mark, the last one I was allowed. I focused on the way the air felt when no one else was breathing it. The visa was not an empty threat, nor an arbitrary limit designed to keep me playing - it was a fuse reminder that time did not stop simply because I had.

Born with the colors of crimson red eyes and hair with a bronze colored skin tone, is looked at as an abomination. She lives a somewhat normal life with the exception of a horrible nightmare that haunts her dreams since she was a child until she hears a strange voice inside her mind. A voice as deadly as the plague itself. While trying to figure out what's wrong with her she is suddenly pulled into spending time with Bracen, the prince of angels. She also meets a beautiful and charming merman, named Leomaris, that would make any female's heart skip a beat. She has no idea what's happening to her or what she's becoming until she has an interesting discussion with her mother. Is Silver a special angel or not even one at all? Just because she has wings means nothing. Silver has quite the battle while she struggles with love, being accepted, and control of herself.
