When Mitch finds out from his mother that Avi Kaplan from his Hebrew elementary school is diagnosed with leukemia, he is forced to become his friend. 

Mitch and his best friend, Scott, make videos. Remakes of movies, sequels to movies, and even ones of their own. So Mitch drags Scott along with him for the visit. 

Scott brings their movies, against Mitch's will, over to Avi's, and lets him watch them. All of them. Avi enjoys them so much, and it makes him laugh, something that no one can do. 

So what do Mitch and Scott do? They make Avi a movie. A compilation of all the kids in the school telling Avi different messages. 

And they need to finish it before Avi's last day.
