I grit my teeth. My mother catches up to me breathing heavily. She grabs my arm and turns me around to face her.
"Let me go Mother. This is my duty to the Moon Goddess."
"Guardian or not you are my daughter first! I will not let you leave to die!"

I sigh and hug her tightly. "It's not just you and me anymore Mother. I have to protect our family."
