The kingdom of Mare has prospered since the monarchy was created one hundred years ago. In all that time, though, there has always been an heir. Until now.

The king and queen, childless rulers of Mare, need an heir - and they know that installing the Grand Duke onto the throne would bring dissent to their kingdom. The history books, detailing Mare before it was Mare, give them an answer in the Hunger Games - a tradition from years ago, sending twenty-four children into an arena to fight to the death. With a few changes, King Harold decides that this is the best way to find an heir.

With all thirteen Districts beaten, and one completely destroyed, the Capitol set up an annual game named The Hunger Games, as a reminder that the Capitol will always be the strongest. These Dark Days are not to be forgotten by the Districts. 500 years later, and the annual Hunger Games are still happening. This year, more tributes than ever were to be reaped as a reminder that no matter how many people try to rebel, the Capitol will always be the strongest. However, things take a turn for the worst during these games, with the tributes rebelling and the Capitol's gamemakers, hosts and president under pressure. Will the Capitol contain the Districts or will the tributes be victorious? Happy Hunger Games, and may the odds be ever in your favour!

About a hundred years later after Katniss and Peeta lived long happy lives the Capitol once again took over. This time it was almost too easy, the war lasting a mere week, the twelve districts have been taken over once again, and District 13 gone forever. After a hundred years of peace the Hunger Games began again. One thousand years later the rebels still haven't bounced back. The districts remain as they were before the rebels took over. The tributes from Districts 1,2, and 4 still train to become champions while the other's battle starvation. Twenty Four will be reaped, 1 will come out. May the odds be EVER in your favour!
