Soraya Macklin and her four friends have been doing paranormal investigations for a few years now while at Coastal State University. Their YouTube channel, Spooky Field Trips has grown in popularity, but the group seeks to take their talents to the next level with a trip to New Orleans over the summer.
The plan is to document some of the most active ghost sites in the Big Easy in hopes of stunning the Savannah Fall Film Festival; a success which would bring in scholarships and intern opportunities.
When the findings prove underwhelming, Soraya looks into an urban legend, in a suburb outside the city, involving a strange, abandoned house.
Rumor has it that a young boy could be heard calling for help, along with other strange noises. Many of the superstitious neighbors believe it to be one of the four teens that went missing five years ago.
Seeing it as their possible big break, Soraya leads her friends into an investigation of the house, electing to go on the night of the fifth year anniversary.
Soon, the team realizes that more is going on with the house than they could have ever imagined as they stumble upon a conspiracy that puts even the wildest of urban legends to shame.
