The Awakening

Survival of the fittest. It's the way things have always worked; the strongest, smartest, and fastest thrive. The others are left to fend for themselves; if they're lucky, they get the scraps left behind by the kings of the wild.
Bahati is the runt of the runts, the one that barely makes it through each and every day. She was taken in by the Tree Shade Pride out of pity. However, she still spends her days being shunned and disregarded for seemingly no reason at all. That is, it seemed like no reason until the dreams started.
Plagued by dreams of the past and nightmares of the future, Bahati has been given a task that even the best would turn down. In a race against both time and her own pack, Bahati must risk everything, or everything will be lost.
