It's one of those average boy is in love with his best friend stories, but with a twist. Preston is an adorable little boy... for being 17 that is. He's only 5'2", has the biggest, darkest blue eyes you could ever imagine, and his face is like an angel's. He has the looks of a baby without being one, the intelligence of a wise Chinese woman, and the skills of an assassin. Why? Because he IS an assassin, born and raised, living in a town undercover. Preston is not only targeted by suitors, he's also targeted by bullies. At school he's bullied for being so cute, and he takes it like the 'little kid' he's supposed to be, that is, when his best friend isn't around. Landon is only what can be described as a Greek god. He can get all the girls, even boys fall at his feet, but he doesn't want any of them. He wants Preston. Although he came to grips with his undying love for Preston years ago, he still hasn't told him how he feels. Every day they become closer and every day Landon falls more and more in love with Preston. But is his best friend even gay? That's not the question he needs to be worried about. When Landon finally figures out Preston's secret, all hell breaks loose. Feelings grow, friendships are tested, and above all, trust is broken. If Preston and Landon can survive their situation, can they survive their love?

After recovering from a family tragedy, Phil Lester does his best to try to continue with his life like before. It's difficult, but he manages. His mother is still a bit of a mess and he doesn't talk to his brother as much as he'd like to, but he manages. Phil's friends are aware of all that's happened and they try to comfort him, but they don't understand everything in the way that Phil wishes they could. One day, however, a new student arrives at Phil's high school on a motorcycle and wearing nothing but the color black. He's dashing, quiet, and overall, mysterious. His job is to meet, study, and assassinate Phillip Lester. When Dan finds his target introducing himself to Dan, Dan begins to think that this will be his easiest assassin to date...That is, until all of his assassination attempts fail. And, after getting to know his target a little better, Dan finds himself falling hopelessly in love with Phil Lester, and therefore unable to perform the assassination as instructed. However, there's something off about Phil Lester. And when they find out each other's secrets... All Hell breaks loose as Phil tries to get a grip on his sanity, and Dan, his humanity.
