There once was a girl, who was the background noise, who always faked a smile, she didn't have any friends, and no one noticed her nor knew anything about her. The people that were popular at Aldo High School often made fun of her calling her Sunny then they would laugh and move on to something more entertaining. Sunny always wore old clothes, or stuff that was relatively out of style, she had long dirty blonde hair that was curly, her face was not out of the normal, she had brown eyes that were framed by long lashes, her nose was small, her lips weren't thin but not as full as society would want them. One day, a boy named Jason takes interest in her, he is relatively popular, but known as a nice guy.

A shy high school senior jock and a closed-off girl battling an immune disorder fake a relationship to win a social media contest. Being shy isn't easy, especially when you're the new kid at school. Scotts Valley's football program is subpar compared to my last school's team, but the starters underestimate my all-conference skills. Girls eye me like fresh meat. "Would you like to dance?" the boy asks me. I stare deep into his blue eyes, but I can't figure out who he is. He's tall with dark hair and the brightest blue eyes I've ever seen. I know everyone at this school, but with his features hidden behind his mask I can't tell who he is. "Sure, I would love to." Did I just say that? I agreed to dance with a random boy who I don't know. He takes my hand and leads me to the dance floor. We dance for a few songs and then he asks me, "Would you like to take a walk? I know the perfect place." I nod and he pulls me behind him off the dance floor. We leave the hotel and start walking down a little path. At the end of the path I notice a little fountain surrounded by candles. I wonder if he set this up. We walk over to the fountain and we sit down on the edge. "I had a wonderful time tonight," says the guy. He reaches to his face and removes his mask. I recognize him immediately.
