I remember when she finished her first story, proud as a poodle, in the middle of the night. She whispered my name and pointed her flashlight at me.
”What?” I mumbled tiredly.
”Do you want to hear something?”
”What?” I repeated.
”Its a story Iv’e wrote.” she said and its like I could hear her smiling when I sat up straight in my bed, looking at her with big eyes.
She didn’t even wait for my response. That short story was my all time favorite, and years after she sat up leigh night reading it for me. And I never told her to stop.
