Sacred Herb tells the story of Rogelio, a chemical engineer student, majoring in genetics; and how he saved the world from the Anunnaki invasion by using his special breed of cannabis that he named "Maricris". This book is written and independently published by Zack Dalaroches. This is no ordinary Pinoy sci-fi. Zack was able to piece together his knowledge in local cannabis culture, jargons, pop culture, scientific terms and processes, and most especially - conspiracy theories, just to name a few.
What caught my interest aside from cannabis are the mentions of the following recurring themes: Anunnaki and alien ancestors and how they cross bred among earth dwellers, nuclear power, Illuminati, GMO, HAARP, universal coordination, climate change, polar shift, RH positive blood type, just to name a few - all tossed in one story on how cannabis and zumba was used to save humanity.
One can never get enough of the suspense, thrill, plot twists and the occasional throw of humor, wit and 420 references. This book is well researched. The plot is well thought and if it were a song, its upbeat pace will keep you from putting the book down. Another notable aspect of the story is how science fiction and fiction were patched together to make this one hell of a book.
This is a must have for every Pinoy cannabis enthusiasts. We have a cannabis pop culture icon on the rise - Kathleen Kim
