Kagome Higurashi is your average high schooler with a step-sister and no parents.

Sadly, her mother and Kikyo's father died.

With Kikyo getting rich off their savings, she is piling strict rules on Kagome at home.

But, that's not all, she abuses her a lot. I mean what a bat to the rib cage goin' do? Bishhhh, she has more than one rib bone, she'll live.

She doesn't have any other family that isn't on Kikyo's side.

Her best friend, Inuyasha Takahashi who dates Kikyo is a little worried when he see a bruise on her hand.

He goes to her house to return something of hers that he left a diner with his friends.
