After a drastic, world-altering epidemic spreads through Earth, the world goes into a widespread panic as more and more people start to die. Among all the hysteria, people who once lived ordinary and happy lives, hit the brink of insanity almost instantly. Caused by the fear of losing their lives, and being unaware when the sickness will claim them, those who have lost their minds begin to destroy the world around them. The military arrive to try to keep the world as intact as possible. Thus beginning the rebuilding of the world. Medicine and protection continue to be brought in to keep those not infected alive and those infected either treated or quarantined. In the midst of all this, the world is focused on through the eyes of Jasmine Creek, a 19 year old former high school student, who suddenly had the world ripped from her when she was 14. Genesis tells the story of how Jasmine finds hardship, revelation, love, strength and a new beginning all while the world is becoming something new, just as she is.
