Casey Long is young, successful and living her perfect life. That is, until her editor asks her to step inside the country's highest security juvenile prison, where she meets the notorious Megan Dewtrop; a sickly murderer who hasn't seen the outside world since she was 12. She is drawn into an underground conspiracy by a mysterious guard, Jim, and counsellor, Daisy,  who reveal that Megan is, in fact, a perfect psychopath and will never leave prison. Cases finds herself falling helplessly in love with Jim while struggling to understand Megan. And all of a sudden she is fighting the man she loves to free a juvenile psychopath who is slowly dying, herself.
