Nothing to Fear {A Hawkeye / Clint Barton Fanfic}

"Dreams can become reality." Whoever said that didn't mention that nightmares can become the same thing.

Clint Barton is infected by a mutant's mark while the Avengers are on a mission to take down the possible threat of the hidden mutants attacking.

The mark causes the victim to fall into a coma-like state, and if they're hurt in their controlled nightmare, they are hurt in reality.

The mutant is hit by one of Hawkeye's arrow and vanishes before the Avengers or SHIELD can lock him up. Clint is left with the mark. The Avengers can do nothing but watch.

Will Clint escape the mutant's grasp and come out of his torturous coma?
